Shaunie O'Neal May Be Quitting 'Basketball Wives'

It’s been quite a crazy time for the stars of “Basketball Wives,” as they’ve faced numerous backlashes over their wild and violent behavior on camera. Though series creator Shaunie O’Neal has promised that things will get better next season, she’s also claiming that the other ladies may have to go on without her.

In the season four finale of “BBW,” O’Neal revealed that she was seriously contemplating leaving the show. In her latest interview with “The Insider,” O’Neal claims that she would have “no problem walking away.”

“I have no problem walking away from the franchise,” said O’Neal. “It is always going to be drama because it is women together. There’s always going to be some ‘you don’t like what she said,’ we’re always going to get that, but I think the level of where it is going is out of control,” she explained.

“Sometimes I just want to exit stage left immediately,” she added.

Though O’Neal is fed up with the drama, she says she won’t make her decision just yet. She’s going to wait until the very last minute to decide.

“I’m uncomfortable, I’m very uncomfortable, when you have that ‘I don’t know,’ feeling. I run from that feeling,” said O’Neal, revealing that she wished she wished she’d left the show last year. “I had it going into season four and I should have stuck with my gut. I won’t do it again.”

However, if O’Neal had it her way, she says she would fire three of her diva co-stars in order to send the show in a better direction. Though, she refuses to say which stars she has in mind.

“No questions asked, not anything personal but just not where I want to go. Not on the same page,” she said sternly.

If O’Neal leaves “BBW,” it will certainly be a major shakeup for the franchise and her fellow co-stars. But this isn’t the first time a star has left a hit reality show. Check out some other reality show shakeups below. –nicholas robinson
