Soulja Slim Murdered
In 2003, rising New Orleans rapper Soulja Slim, born James A’Darryl Tapp, Jr., was shot to death outside of his mother’s home on Thanksgiving eve. Weeks later, police arrested Garelle Smith in connection with Slim’s death. However, he was later released. Slim’s murder remains unsolved.
