J. Anthony Brown: The Tom Joyner Cruise was not his invention, but it most certainly has Brown’s imprint. Two of the more popular events during the seven-day cruise are his invention: The “Dark-Skinned vs. Light-Skinned” water gun fight, usually taking place on the beaches of Coco Cay, Bahamas; and then there is the “Drink Tank,” where comedians aboard the ship all wild out and the audience gets to ask them questions. People will actually fight to get into this event. And I’ve been out of breath on several occasions because the comedians go all in. He definitely knows how to throw a party of any kind.
