As we know, humans are never that simple when it comes to love, sex, marriage and infidelity.
Sometimes men will cheat with his true love that got away, or with the person that only found him attractive after another woman married him. More often than not, a man will cheat because he can, but a woman will cheat with more partners according to the U.K. Adultery Survey. The survey found that cheating women will average of 2.3 lovers while men who cheat average 1.8 lovers.
Researchers also found that cheating women will stray within the first five years, whereas cheating men will stray after the six year mark.
According to Infidelity Facts, a hub for infidelity surveys, research and statistics, in 41 percent of marriages, one or both spouses admit to emotional or physical infidelity.
“Newlyweds have this sense about cheating that if you’re going to do it, do it now,” says M. Gary Neuman, author of The Truth About Cheating.
The average length of an affair is two years, but there is a silver lighting at the end of the tunnel: 31 percent of marriages will survive the affair.
