Kile Glover May Be Taken Off Life Support
It’s been a hard road for Usher and his ex-wife, Tameka Raymond. After Usher’s 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, was critically injured in a tragic Jet Ski accident July 6, the boy was later declared brain dead from his injuries. And though Tameka is hopeful that her son will miraculously pull through, a new report is claiming that Kile may never get that chance.
According to TMZ, Kile may be taken off of life support as early as next month because his insurance coverage is about to expire.
Sources close to the family claim that Tameka’s insurance company hasn’t set a specific cut off point for Kile’s coverage, but they’ve made it clear that they’re only going to shell out money for two more months at best.
The sources claim that if Kile’s coverage ends, Tameka won’t be able to afford his enormous hospital bills. And although Usher has been extremely supportive throughout the ordeal, sources claim that he has not offered to pay any medical bills and that Tameka doesn’t see him as a viable option for financial support.
However, it must be noted that Usher recently offered to settle his custody battle over their two sons, Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3, and offered her a “significant” increase in child support.
Time will reveal if the allegations about Usher’s inability — or refusal — to help Tameka are true. Though, we doubt they are. Either way, we hope that Usher, Tameka and their families find a solution for her financial problems quickly.
