Magic Johnson Helps Atlanta Dropouts Earn High School Diploma

Congratulations are in order for basketball great Magic Johnson! He just opened his first Magic Johnson Bridgescape center, a program of Provost Academy Georgia and is accepting students! The school is designed to help high school-age students who have either dropped out of school or are at risk of leaving school.

Provost Academy Georgia is a charter high school. It’s free and open to students ages 14-20 years of age who have left school and want to earn a standard high school diploma.The school offers one-on-one and small group instruction. The school is staffed with onsite education teams to assist the students with daily studies. They also help those with learning disabilities. They offer both morning and afternoon sessions.

“Our goal is to ensure that no student falls through the cracks,” said Earvin “Magic” Johnson, who last year formed a strategic alliance with Edison Learning – which operates the Magic Johnson Bridgescape centers. “All students should have the opportunity to receive their high school diplomas and be fully prepared for college or the workplace.”

Edison Learning also has locations in Ohio, New Jersey ,Missouri,Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Additional locations are planned for Augusta, Macon and Savannah.
