Diet plan: How to eat gluten-free

Beware of your breakfast cereals

Traditional breakfast cereals are a big no no for people on a gluten-free diet. Cereals like Cheerios contains wheat starch, while Frosted Flakes uses malt flavoring making both of these a no go. Read the list of ingredients and avoid any cereal containing wheat, barley, rye, or malt.

Instead look for corn and rice-based cereals for breakfast alternatives. Most cereals in the health food section of your local grocery store are gluten-free but still be sure to read all ingredients.
