Kobe Bryant was seething with anger after the Lakers went down to the Atlanta Hawks by a score of 96-92. In the waning seconds, Bryant attempted to shoot a jumper over the outstretched arms of Hawks defender Dahntay Jones. After the shot missed, Bryant landed awkwardly on his left ankle. He laid on the court at Philips Arena and grabbed his ankle for several minutes.
During the post game press conference, Bryant claimed that Jones made a dirty play. Bryant ended his interview by saying, “I can’t get my mind past the fact that I have to wait a year to get revenge.”
