Buoyed by its classic title track, the debut album from A-Plus, Phesto, Tajai and Opio owes a lot to The Pharcyde and Del, but where the former relied heavily on stoner humor and the latter his own goofy perspective, this quartet from Oakland tackled serious street topics–albeit with an everyman air and subtle idiosyncrasies that echoed mid 90s A Tribe Called Quest.
