On Wednesday, May 1, Warehouse Live opened its doors to the Houston community for a tribute to Screwed Up Click legend Big Hawk. ComicView and Def Comedy Jam comedian Terry “The Grossman” Gross and legendary rapper Wicked Cricket served as emcees for the night as they announced the historical lineup.

“It’s been seven years to the date that Hawk has been gone from us and he would be so happy about this turn out tonight. Hawk lives on through all of us. The fact that his music and his message are still being heard years later means so much to me and the entire Screwed Up click,” said Meshah Henderson Hawkins the late wife of Big Hawk.

Performers for the night included Devin the Dude, ESG, Lil Keke, Bun B, Papa Rue, Doughbeezy and female artists Rawl-T, Kat St. John, TroubleSum and Varrie Vernacular. Courvoisier and Beam Inc. sponsored the evening by providing attendees with signature cocktails and free sunglasses.
