Robert Griffin III and his longtime fiancee Rebecca Liddicoat have been found out. Known throughout the sports world as the electrifying gridiron great “RG3” or “RGIII,” The Washington Redskins quarterback is set to get married at the Bed, Bath, & Beyond in Washington DC on July 6, according to the Washington Post’s check of the wedding registry.
The Post began poking around after RG3’s mother, Jackie Griffin, broke the news of the wedding to the Fox TV news affiliate in Washington, intimating that her son is famously private and keeps everything close to the vest.
“You would never know, based on his press conferences and everything he does in the media, but he still has that shyness to him and that quietness to him,” she explained. “He loves being at home, quiet and to himself. That hasn’t changed.”
But who is soon-to-be Mrs. Griffin? Who is the lady that’s been living in the shadow of one of America’s favorite superstars?
Liddicoat is from Colorado. She attended Baylor where she met RGIII. The two became engaged while Griffin was still tearing up college defenses in 2010, a year before he broke onto the scene as a Heisman Trophy winner.
