AOL’s Tim Armstrong fires Patch director on call

tim-armstrong-aol_398x206AOL CEO Tim Armstrong had some bad news to deliver. The company was faced with making a move that would affect 400 websites – Patch, their hyper-local news service arm. Armstrong said, “Abel, put that camera down right now. Abel, you’re fired. Out.”

Hear for yourself (2 minutes, 33 seconds) on the audio leaked to blogger Jim Romenesko. Click continue to Lenz’s Twitter response.
