Polly A releases ‘Pick Your Poison’ video at 40/40 club

Polly A's "Pick Your Poison"

Industry tastemakers, artists, models, and close friends all came together last week, for Polly A’s “Pick Your Poison” video release party at New York City’s 40/40 Club.

Music exec/producer Salaam Remi, New York Liberty player Cappie Pondexter, A&Rs Nigil Mack and Ziggy Chareton, model Willy Cartier, DJ Moma, artists Kat Dahlia, CJ Hilton, Ronnie James, Shaliek Rivers, Sandflower and more mingled over drinks in anticipation of the video which was played later in the night.

Polly A (a.k.a. Meleni Smith) is an industry vet, with her 2012 LP “My Heart In Focus” and many songwriting credits under her belt, including Alicia Keys’ “Love Is My Disease”, Selena Gomez’s “Bang Bang Bang”, and most recently J. Cole’s “Crooked Smile”.

With no actual plans to release a follow-up album anytime soon, Polly A is trying something different.

“I’m just gonna put out singles until something hits and then I’ll drop an EP. I’m just taking it back to Motown.”

Check out pictures from the release party after the jump.
