Earlier this week, Kelly Price finally began sharing her side of the story in all of the “R&B Divas LA” drama that her left her as one of the most hated reality TV villains of the year. Now, in the second installment of her revealing interview with CNikky.com, Price claims that producers continuously tried to stir up drama amongst the cast that they even tried to ambush Chante Moore with an impromptu reunion with her ex-husband, Kenny Lattimore.
According to Price, producers brought Fred onto the show and told her that he would only be on the season for a few episodes before being phased out. Price claims that producers asked her to spark a beef with Fred because they wanted more controversy for the show.
“I’m being told ‘Give Fred a little headache, give Fred a little drama,’” Price explained. “At the end of the day, I accept responsibility because there were a lot of things that I said ‘no’ to prior to that.”
Producers asked her to stir up drama with Michel’e but she said, “No.”
“We were in the middle of a conversation and one of the producers was in my ear saying, ‘Say to Michel’e, ewww is that really your voice or are you faking it?’” Price revealed.
Price claims that producers also asked her to set up what would be an unpleasant meeting between Chante Moore and her ex-husband, Kenny Lattimore, whom Moore revealed earlier this season had filed for custody of their child.
“I refused multiple times when asked to arrange a ‘surprise’ meeting between Chante Moore and her ex-husband Kenny Lattimore,” Kelly revealed. “I know because of my relationship with him and my private conversations with Chante that that’s not something she’s ready to have happen. They were not in that place.”
However, Price explains that after her confrontation with Fred, she realized that the producers had set her up and she later apologized to him and learned that the producers had told them two different stories about his role on the show. “I still own what I did. Nobody forced me to do it. They did ask but I said yes,” said Price.
Who knows whether this will change people’s opinion of Price but her revelations do provide a completely new way of looking at the show and provides a new option of who the real villain of “R&B Divas LA” is.
