Bun B’s A3c Performance

Atlanta got a taste of Port Arthur, Texas Friday when Bun B hit the stage for the 2013 A3C Hip-Hop festival. The rapper and 1/2 of the legendary UGK cranked out his new school and old school hits including “Pocket Full Of Stones,” Jay Z’s “Big Pimpin'” and “International Players Anthem.”

In traditional Bun B fashion, the O.G. emcee paid tribute to the late Pimp C and rapped several of his verses before declaring, “It’s [still] UGK for life.”

Bun was joined briefly onstage by Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. who he told on behalf of other southern emcees to “keep going” and was prefaced by rapper Spree Wilson who gave an energetic performance of his at times Kilo Ali inspired hits.

Bun’s performance was sponsored by Red Bull and was hosted by DJ Jelly and Fort Knox. Sounds were provided by DJ SofaKing Evil who took the audience on a journey to “Old Atlanta” with music from Oomp Camp and Pastor Troy.
