MINI is ‘big’ at Atlanta Pride Festival

Atlanta Pride is a week long annual event that invites the Atlanta community to promote unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons. The event also promotes a positive image of Atlanta in the southeast through community activities and services.

This year, MINI Cooper joined forces with the Pride team to participate in the festival in a big way. More than 200,000 were in attendance and many stood in line for the MINI Prize Wheel. Additionally, five MINIs paraded on Sunday to record-setting crowds distributing swag to a highly engaged and friendly crowd.

Two MINI convertibles carried APF grand marshals leading the parade: Dallas Sheriff Lupe Valdez and Arizona hero Daniel Hernandez Jr. Attendees showed much MINI love, responding to the Paceman and Countryman’s design and size attributes, but placing the convertible as the all-out favorite “photo-op” MINI.
