Porsha Stewart Wendy Williams interview
Porsha Stewart appeared on the “Wendy Williams” show Monday and detailed her divorce from Kordell Stewart. The “Real Housewife of Atlanta” told the host that her divorce will be finalized in 30 days and she plans to keep her last name.
“I’m going to keep Stewart. It’s not his name, it’s my name,” said Porsha. “I was Porsha Williams and I was at one point in my life before I got married. Marriage has taught me so much. I’m a whole ‘nother woman now. So, I’m going to own that last name. It belongs to me,” she added.
And while the majority of the interview was smooth sailing for the newly single housewife, it started out bumpy with Wendy telling her that her actions were “less than smart.”
“It seems like you’ve been coddled and spoiled by your mother and by Kordell [Stewart] and that never helps us as women when we get out into the world,” said Wendy. “From my perspective, as a fan, you are a gorgeous woman who has the world at your feet. You have no children, which is a plus in this particular situation…I think that you should live on your own.”
Porsha also did little to squash those pesky rumors that continue to plague her estranged husband and told Wendy that she was aware of the allegations but they did not cause their split.
“What I can tell you is this,” said Porsha. “Whether he is gay or whether he is on the down-low, that had nothing to do with our breakup. The breakup had to do with the treatment that I was receiving as a wife.”
