Whatever bonds between former hip-hop comrades Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame were already broken when Gucci went on an epic diss-filled Twitter tirade against Waka and a slew of other rappers earlier this year. But if you thought the former friends would part ways semi-peacefully, think again. A new report reveals that Gucci is suing both Waka and his mother, famous music manager Deb Antney, claiming that the two of them stole his fortune and ruined his career.
According to TMZ, court documents show that Gucci hired Antney to be his manager in 2006 and, as he claims, ever since then Antney and Waka have been robbing him in multiple ways. Gucci claims that they have been collecting royalties without his permission, that Antney made herself CFO of Gucci’s corporation without his knowledge, and that she took more than the regular manager’s fee of 20 percent.
Gucci says that he’s lost his money and his reputation and is now suing the mother and son team for fraud, racketeering, and conspiracy. Gucci is asking that a judge freeze Waka and Antney’s assets and that Antney return a ring and a chain that he claims she stole from him.
Waka and Antney have not commented on the topic but we’re sure Waka will definitely have some words for Gucci in the near future. In the meantime, check out some other business deals that went south below. –nicholas robinson
