Kenya Moore has fibroid removal surgery
Kenya Moore is assuring fans that she’s in good health and good spirits after undergoing surgery. The “Real Housewife of Atlanta,” who recently revealed that she will attempt to conceive this year via in vitro fertilization, took to Instagram Saturday to confirm reports that she went under the knife. Instead of cosmetic surgery, however, Moore revealed that she had fibroids removed from her uterus.
“Thank you for all your well wishes and kind regards. Letting my family and friends know I successfully underwent fibroid surgery as it was reported. Yes, I’m okay. No appetite yet. Excellent female doctors in Atlanta!” she captioned the below photo.
She then added that she was “closer to her dreams,” possibly referring to her wish to have a child.
Moore is the second “Real Housewife of Atlanta” to have fibroid surgery; Cynthia Bailey previously underwent the procedure in July.
Prior to going under the knife, Moore rang in the new year with fellow reality stars at Mynt Lounge Miami.
