Peter Thomas accused of owing $100,000 in rent

Is Peter Thomas’ bar ONE restaurant $100,000 in the hole? That’s the question being asked today after his landlord filed court documents suggesting that the reality star owes him six-figures in back rent. According to Fulton County Superior Court documents first obtained by The AJC newspaper, Eloshua Elliott believes Thomas breached a lease agreement by failing to pay rent, late fees, bank charges, real estate property taxes and other fees on the establishment. Elliott, who is a partial land owner of the property and his attorney Dana Tucker Davis claim that Thomas hasn’t paid his rent of $10,000 a month since March 2013.

Peter has since spoken out to The AJC’s Rodney Ho telling the reporter that the primary issue is that Showtime Cafe, the primary landlord for Bar One, is in foreclosure proceedings. Thomas contends that Showtime Cafe has been taking his money and not passing it on to the bank for the mortgage. News of Bar One’s financial troubles first hit the net in August.

The reality TV husband also made sure to add that the court filing has nothing to do with his financial standing.

“I’ve been caught in the middle of the crossfire,” Thomas told Ho.

His wife Cynthia Baileys’ Industry Studios is also mentioned in the court filing. Elliot claims that Thomas owes $29,000 in back rent for the modeling and talent agency’s establishment.
