50 Cent may have found himself in legal hot water after going off on Twitter. The hip-hop star blasted video model Sally Ferreira last month on the popular social network. 50 has claimed that Ferreira has been claiming that the two are an item and also accused her of sharing behind-the-scenes photos from a March 23 music video shoot for the song “Big Rich Town.”
“WARNING: Do not attempt to work with this thirsty video b—-,” 50 tweeted. “[Her name is Sally Ferreira and she’s a model…] she sent photos of the video shoot to Mediatakeout Ssying I’m in a relationship with her. Can anyone say RESHOOT.”
“Big FAIL, super thirsty, new shoot this week coming. Unbelievable #smsaudio #Animal Ambition,” he captioned under an Instagram photo of Ferreira.
Ferreira has now filed suit against the rapper, claiming defamation. She says that she’s been in a committed relationship with her fiancé of 9 years and the lawsuit alleges that his claims have hurt her reputation tremendously. 50 Cent has more than 7 million social media followers. According to reports, she is seeking $11 million in damages.
“Without undertaking any investigation whatsoever, Mr. Jackson falsely accused Ms. Ferreira of being the source of the MediaTakeOut.com coverage by posting a picture of Ms. Ferreira on his personal Instagram account with the following text superimposed over her image,” the lawsuit claims, according to the New York Daily News. “Before the defamatory posting, Ms. Ferreira was working on three separate entertainment industry projects and enjoyed a good reputation in the industry.”
“As a direct and proximate result of the defamatory posting and the subsequent media fallout and negative publicity surrounding Ms. Ferreira, as of the date of this filing, all three projects have been put indefinitely on hold,” the suit states. “Moreover, as a direct and proximate result of Mr. Jackson’s actions, Ms. Ferreira has been subjected to harsh and hurtful comments about her profession, character, and appearance, causing her severe emotional distress.”
