Atlanta-born rapper Rich Homie Quan reportedly had two seizures will on the set of a music video shoot on on May 6 in Atlanta. The hip-hop star is said to have suffered from heat exhaustion, fainted and suddenly experienced two seizures. He also suffered head injuries, according to TMZ.
Quan, born Dequantes Lamar, was immediately taken to an area hospital and sources have stated that he is in “good condition.”
The rapper was filming a music video in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park alongside Trouble when he had the episode and “smashed his head badly,” according to reports.
The 24-year-old was just revealed as one of the young rappers landing on the cover of XXL‘s much-hyped 2014 Freshmen Class issue; alongside Ty Dolla $ign, Chance The Rapper, Isaiah Rashad, Lil Durk, Kevin Gates, Lil Bibby, Troy Ave, Vic Mensa, on Connor, Jarren Benton and August Alsina. Quan broke through last year with “Type of Way,” and he’s dropped two well-received mixtapes, I Go In On Every Song, Still Goin In and I Promise I’ll Never Stop Goin’ In/em>.
Upon his release from the hospital, Quan updated fans via Twitter:
