As expected, Wednesday night’s “R&B Divas Atlanta” reunion special sent the internet into a frenzy as gossip queen Wendy Williams hosted the affair and dug into the dirt surrounding the divas’ lives. One of the most shocking moments of the night was certainly when Williams asked “Divas” newcomer Meelah Williams about an alleged affair with Faith Evans’ ex-husband.
Years ago, Evans and her now ex-husband, Todd Russaw, served as Williams’ managers but she eventually ended her business relationship with Evans and Russaw. Earlier this year, when it was announced that Williams would be joining the cast of “R&B Divas Atlanta,” rumors begin to circulate that she and Evans had a falling out over allegations that Williams slept with Russaw, and Wendy took the opportunity during the reunion to ask Williams if the rumors were true. However, Williams denied ever having any kind of inappropriate contact with Russaw.
“That was my manager and before he was my manager, he’s like family. No,” said Williams.
When asked how and why her friendship with Evans ended, Williams replied, “Who said it ended? I didn’t get the show from her, but there’s no beef.”
Wendy seemed unable to believe Williams and she asked her again if she slept with Russaw.
“I just said no,” said Williams sternly, appearing visibly agitated.
Later on, Williams wrote about the interview on Twitter and maintained that the rumors aren’t true.
