Apollo Nida definitely has a lot to worry about now that he’s been sentenced to eight years in prison for his criminal involvement in a bank, wire and mail fraud as well as identity theft. However, it appears that Nida found no solace in his wife, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks, during this tough time because reports have revealed that she didn’t show up in court for Nida’s sentencing.
Earlier this week, Nida’s lawyers requested that a judge alter his criminal history to lower his maximum jail time from 30 years to a less severe period of time. But according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Nida was still agitated after a judge sentenced him to eight years in prison and he even questioned why the sentence was so harsh.
“The government did what they had to do,” Nida said before entering the elevator the downtown federal courthouse. When asked if he was unhappy about the sentence, he said, “Whatever the judge gave.”
However, it seems that Nida might have also been irritable because his wife was not in the courtroom to support him while the judge handed down the sentence.
As previously reported, Parks recently went on vacation in Mexico, and Kandi Burruss recently claimed that Parks has been keeping busy during this stressful time.
“Phaedra’s doing great,” Burruss told HollywoodLife.com. “She’s basically working. That’s how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work.”
Well, considering all that’s happening in the Parks-Nida household and all of the time they’re spending apart, we wonder how long their marriage can work with the distance between them becoming even greater over the next eight years. –nicholas robinson
