What are you currently working on?
I have a TV movie coming out in two weeks on TV One (Saturday, Aug. 30) called “Girlfriends Getaway,” which I loved doing! I worked with Garcelle Beauvais, Malinda Williams and Terry J. Vaughn; I love these ladies, they are amazing! We shot the movie in a beautiful location in Trinadad. It is about four friends who go away to celebrate a birthday for two of the friends, and they end up getting into big trouble. It is funny, has a lot of heart to it and it’s really about friendship; what you will do for your girls, exposing secrets and seeing their vulnerable sides, so there is a sweetness to it but also very silly and fun to watch. Also, there are some fine looking Trini men in it, so that doesn’t hurt at all. I worked with Roger Bobb at Bobbcat Films, who I adore and he is a great director who I love working with. I actually worked with him on “House of Payne.” He was one of the producers with Tyler Perry; we had a great creative connection then and I loved being able to work with him again; I know he is going to do big things!
