Any fan of “Game of Thrones” knows there is a lot of nudity on the show. However, the upcoming season 5 filming has been put on hold while a church protests. The church is upset because of a public nude scene with the character Cersei Lannister.

Warning Spoiler Alert

The scene is well known to readers of the book and is popularly called the ‘Walk of Shame.’ In the scene, Cersei is stripped naked, her head shaved bald and she is made to walk through the streets of King’s Landing for her many crimes. However, the Church of St. Nicholas in Dubrovnik, Croatia, opposes filming the scene on the streets of the city. The church has jurisdiction over the city’s film commission and has a rule about public displays of sexuality. The production has filmed in Croatia in the past and has run into issues with some of the sex scenes, especially the controversial rape scene of last season with Jamie and Cersei. The producers of the show will not cut the ‘Walk of Shame scene,’ calling it pivotal to the plot line of the series.
