Amber Rose may score a major cash payout in her divorce battle with Wiz Khalifa, but don’t bank on her winning full custody of their son, Sebastian, without a fight from Wiz.
As previously reported, Rose has filed a petition for full legal and physical custody of Sebastian, but according to TMZ, Khalifa has now filed a response and is asking for joint custody of their son.
According to the report, Wiz has a good chance of beating Rose’s petition because the state of California typically prefers divorced parents to share custody because the state feels it’s in the best interest of the child to do so. Filing for sole custody is typically considered an act of vengeance by California.
However, one thing the couple agrees upon is the idea that Rose should get a large prenup payout. Earlier this week, we reported that, thanks to a lengthy prenup, Rose could get $1 million for her 14-month marriage to Wiz.
Wiz reportedly agrees that the prenup should be enforced and that Rose should be paid the million dollars. Although it was originally reported that Rose had to choose between the prenup payout or spousal support, it’s now been revealed that the prenup included spousal support and that Wiz agrees that Rose should get upward of $5,000 a month in the settlement.
Clearly Rose is about to make a lot of money off this divorce, we just hope that the estranged couple, who have both hurled cheating allegations at each other, do what’s best for Sebastian when it comes to their custody battle. –nicholas robinson
