A couple in Atlanta reportedly thought it was a good idea to give a 2-year-old child alcohol. According to reports by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the boy’s mother, Jasmin Moore, and her boyfriend, William Hickson, gave the boy a mixed alcoholic beverage.
They allowed the toddler to drink a mixture of Coca-Cola and 40 proof Paul Masson Brandy. Once the chid began drinking, the couple continued to allow the boy to drink for several minutes.
The boy eventually passed out and stopped breathing. When he was rushed to the hospital, doctors discovered that he had a concentration of 0.29 of alcohol in his blood. The legal limit for a Georgia driver is .08 and below.
Moore and Hickson were arrested and charged with first degree cruelty to children. Their bond is $75,000.
