Patrise Perkins-Hooker

Patrise Perkins-Hooker is the president of the State Bar of Georgia and the vice president and general counsel for Atlanta BeltLine Inc. Perkins-Hooker made history by being the first African American and only the third woman to lead the State Bar of Georgia.

Perkins-Hooker joined the Atlanta BeltLine Inc., a nonprofit charged with creating a network around the city that connects neighborhoods through greenspace, trails and transit.


Dedicated to her career, she has a vested interest in the Atlanta community that raised and mentored her. She is involved in community outreach in multiple sectors, including legal, civil rights, education, community development, advocating for children, and working with seniors.

A native of Atlanta, Perkins-Hooker graduated with honors from Georgia Tech and earned her J.D. and MBA from Emory University.
