Bishop McClendon Comes To Town
Thus far this season, Bishop Clarence McClendon has been largely absent from the series, but in this episode we find him in Atlanta on business. He’s there to prep for a new monthly outreach program he plans to do, but while there, he arranges to meet and spend time with his recently engaged daughter Taylre. The meeting with Taylre and her fiancé Derek serves as a catch up session for the family. Clarence expresses his displeasure with the fact that he found out about the engagement via Instagram. Later he meets with Taylre separately for one-on-one time. She expresses some concern about the union possibly growing stale because Derek is a creature of habit. Clarence then meets with Derek for a little man to man talk where Clarence feels Derek out and ultimately gives him some great life and marriage advice to use for the future.
