On Saturday, Nov. 8,2014 , the Renaissance chapter of The Links Inc. hosted their 2014 winter soulstice fundraiser. The private star-studded function was held in downtown Detroit at The Garden Theatre.
A “silver carpet” led nearly 700 esteemed Links, supporters and guests into the enchanted winter themed event. The event commenced with a reception hosted by master of ceremonies, Emmy Award-winning broadcast journalist, Ed Gordon. Patrons indulged in signature cocktails and gourmet cuisines and desserts preceeding a soulful and passionate performance by Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter and composer Chrisette Michele.

The whimsical experience carried forward with photo booth fun and a full beauty bar staffed with expert hairstylists courtesy of Luigi Brui salon of Birmingham and makeup artists sponsored by Christian Dior.
“The Renaissance Links Chapter is thrilled to host such a magical evening that spotlights our important work benefiting women and children in the Detroit metropolitan community,” said Wendy Turner Lewis, president of the Renaissance chapter. “Funds raised are crucial to assist with our important and transformational work in the community.
