Advertisers respond to Black Twitter protests regarding VH1’s #SororitySisters

VH1’s “Sorority Sisters” has set off a firestorm on Twitter since the trailer originally aired this past summer. The reality TV series premiered on Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, and it unnerved members of the Divine 9 and Black Twitter using the hashtag #BoycottSororitySisters. The protests by Black Greeks and Twitter led to many brands withdrawing their advertising.
