In October 2012 during the presidential race, Dash fanned the flames of controversy when she endorsed Mitt Romney. She tweeted, “Vote For Romney. The only choice for your future,” along with a photo of herself wearing a red bikini in front of the American flag.
She then made reference to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s words when she explained her reasons for endorsing a Republican candidate rather than President Obama on an episode of “Piers Morgan Tonight.”
“I chose him not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character,” she said
