Veteran actor Rockmond Dunbar (“Sons of Anarchy,” “Soul Food,” “The Mentalist”) has just signed on to play the male lead in a new series for NBC.
The series, a drama called “Love Is a Four Letter Word,” centers around three diverse couples and their dealings with issues such as race, sexuality and gender.
Dunbar will play the role of Nick, an ad agency owner who is trying to make his open marriage to ex-mistress Fiona work; while attempting to effectively co-parent with his first wife and mother of his two kids, Julia, for whom he still has feelings.
Also starring in the series will be actresses Cynthia Kaye McWilliams (“Real Husbands of Hollywood”) and Nadine Velazquez (“My Name Is Earl”). Dunbar and McWilliams previously portrayed husband and wife on the Fox network drama “Prison Break.”
