There’s no doubt the city of Atlanta was on fire as Jamie Foxx and his people hit up all the top radio stations, called all the deejays and invited all the record executives to a private listening party to debut music from his new album. Foxx immediately hopped off the elevator and got the party started on the dance floor shaking his tail feather with “RHOA” star Claudia Jordan, radio personality Carol Blackmon, 94.5’s Jazzy McBee, Treesound’s Mali Hunter and a room filled with lady fans! As Foxx joined DJ Mars on the turntables they went down memory lane reminding us why we enjoyed Jamie’s first album so much. Hits with Kanye like “Gold Digger (before Ye was Kimye), and “Blame It on the Alcohol.”
The Oscar Award-winning actor’s recently released new single, “You Changed Me,” features Chris Brown. He’s so talented and yet he still never forgets his roots when it’s time to turn up! Please be sure to continue supporting great music and great people like Foxx by picking up his new album May 18 or downloading it on iTunes. You can’t help but wonder who’s he’s speaking of in his new single since he recently shut down rumors that he is not involved in a serious romantic relationship with Tom Cruise’s ex-wife, Katie Holmes, but they are definitely longtime close friends.
The Django star also revealed he will be in Atlanta for the next three months filming a new movie. After the listening party, Foxx wanted to ride SkyView Atlanta, the city’s new Ferris wheel. He paid for everyone to ride the Ferris wheel and even bought snacks. Check out the pics from the exclusive private rooftop party at the Skylounge atop the Glenn Hotel.
