NY corrections officer caught dealing crack to inmates

The New York Department of Corrections apparently had a really bad apple on team. Authorities announced the arrest of Patricia Howard,43, this past weekend for dealing drugs at the infamous Manhattan Detention Center also known as “The Tombs.” The veteran corrections officer was allegedly dealing crack, prescription pills, cigarettes and marijuana through a network of inmates inside the jail, according to law enforcement.

Howard worked for the NY Corrections Department for more than 17 years and commanded an impressive salary of $76,488 per year. According to recent reports, the city paid her $104,336, which included overtime pay. She was monitored for at least four months and was seen dealing to various inmates. She has been charged with criminal possession with the intent to sell marijuana and crack cocaine and possession.
