Jonathan Plummer married Terry McMillan in 1998. The couple divorced in 2005 after Plummer came out. McMillan sued Plummer for $40 million citing emotional distress. In fact, Plummer went on to be the inspiration for the young love interest McMillan’s How Stella Got Her Groove Back.
