Avery Wilson, The-Dream, Rich Homie Quan, Neyo, TI, Young Dro, 2 Chainz, Monica and K Camp were among the performers at the V-103’s annual Car and Bike Show. Avery Wilson, former “The Voice” fan favorite wooed the ladies as he serenaded them on stage. It wasn’t surprising to see all the fans singing along with him to every word.
Much success to Sean Garrett, songwriter-producer, who is not only the musical mentor to Avery Wilson; but serves as the songwriter responsible for making this young superstar; guiding him through his climb to the top of the charts with the stamp of approval by music mogul Clive Davis.
We learned songwriter-artist The-Dream has upgraded his name to “The American Dream” and was very excited to use the car and bike show platform to promote his upcoming album as well. Ramona Debreaux got The-Dream to talk about some of the things he currently has in the mix. Rapper 2 Chainz did not disappoint on stage and T.I. turned up for his city accompanied by Young Dro.
I think everyone will agree with the “yes head nod” to Rich Homie Quan and his Dapper Dan shark skin suit, tie, and businessman look. We were wondering how he would turn up in such professional duds. Well about five minutes into the performance the shirt and tie came off! The crowd went wild and he had a little help on the stage.
Roaming around the venue, I saw other notable talent such as up-and-coming producer-artist Young Lexicon checking out Greg Street’s drop-top white convertible Volkswagen and Big Tigger’s classic car. We saw Mike Scott of the Atlanta Hawks; Young Joc, Mali Hunter GM of Treesound Studios, Ryan Cameron, Wanda Smith and Ramona Debreaux, and we witnessed free back-to-school haircuts for boys taking place in her booth.
