Carmen Rodgers and Anthony David, two of Atlanta’s most soulful voices, have joined to create “Charge,” an irresistible love song, coupled with a refreshingly simple music video.
“Charge” is on Rodgers’ third studio album, Stargazer, which was released this year. She and longtime Timbaland collaborator Daniel Jones co-wrote the song, and he also produced the track. David, a well-known artist in the Atlanta area, added his signature gritty and passionate vocals to the tune.
The song is about the deeply powerful connection between two lovers. The visuals, directed by Jirard, show Rodgers and David as a steamy couple who get up-close and personal as they express their deepest feelings for one another.
Rogers can also be heard on the new Foreign Exchange album, Tales from the Land of Milk and Honey. She provided her vocals and songwriting skills for some of the tracks. The album drops August 23.
