Chicago Bulls center and native Chicagoan Nazr Mohammed, in conjunction with the Nazr Mohammed Foundation, recently hosted his 4th annual fundraiser benefit for autism research.
The swanky affair was held at the chic Galleria Marchetti and featured a casino theme in addition to a raffle and a silent auction benefiting Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago and the Turning Pointe Autism Foundation. Ryan Chiaverini, host of ABC 7’s “Windy City Live,” served as emcee of the event and kept the audience entertained as they mingled, networked and enjoyed signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening.
Notables in attendance included Chicago music legend George Daniels, WGCI Radio morning personality Kendra G., Fox Chicago TV personality Darlene Hill, Chicago PD’s Laroyce Hawkins, former boxer Montell Griffin, former pro basketball players Dee Brown and Michael Ingram, and former Chicago Bears Donnell Woolford, Israel Idonije, Jason McKie and Jerry Azumah.
A 17‐year NBA veteran, Mohammed dedicated this year’s event to support research, advocacy and awareness for autism. Both Easter Seals Metropolitan Chicago and Turning Pointe Autism Foundation are committed to providing resources, services, and real-time solutions to those navigating through the lifelong impact of autism.
