Morris Chestnut stars and is phenomenal in FOX’s “Rosewood.” For the advanced screening of the new show, a professional crowd came out from all around Washington, DC. As the host of the social media cocktail hour, it was fun working with the DMV crowd and inquiring about why they came out and what they liked about veteran actor Morris Chestnut. Answers ran the gamut from Boyz in the Hood” to The Best Man franchise, but his leading primetime debut in “Rosewood” was especially intriguing.
“Rosewood” is a fun, sexy show set in Miami. You know creators are on to something when they produce a show that viewers wish they could be a part of. From sipping on cocktails poolside to solving crimes while coasting waves aboard a Catamaran, “Rosewood” has all the amenities that make for great TV. It’s romantic, comedic, fashionable and fresh. The fact that it’s a close-ended procedural is a major plus.
The pink glasses were the rage as they were a part of prizes given away at the pre-show at the AMC Loews Georgetown 14 theater.
At the end of the screening, many of the women expressed their appreciation for Chestnut, who they found to not only be a gorgeous man, but he was also witty and smart as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood, Jr., a captivating and gifted pathologist. They look forward to being able to see him on the screen on a weekly basis. “Rosewood” is a great example of smart programming and the chemistry of a diverse cast. It is a breath of continued fresh air coming from the FOX network.
“Rosewood” airs Wednesday on FOX starting September 23 at 8 p.m. (just before “Empire”).
