It was only a few months ago that Kelly Price revealed that she’d separated from her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey Rolle, and that she planned on divorcing him. Since then, the singer has been quiet on the matter, leaving many to wonder what the status of her marriage was. But now it’s been revealed that Price has indeed filed for divorce from Rolle.
According to TMZ, in the divorce papers, Price is requesting that neither she nor Rolle get spousal support. She also says there’s no community property to fight over.
Price and Rolle share two adult children together, Jeffrey Rolle Jr., 23, and daughter, Jonia Rolle, 21, so they don’t have to worry about a custody battle.
Besides divorcing Rolle, Price is also dropping Rolle as her manager and cutting business ties with him.
As previously reported, Price explained back in July that she decided to divorce Rolle because she wasn’t happy in the marriage anymore.
“After the untimely death of my sister last year, it weighed on me heavily that this was something we needed to do. I ultimately made the decision to live the best life I can. I ended things because I didn’t want to compromise what true happiness was anymore,” Price said, adding, “There are no hard feelings and I will love Jeff until the day I die!”
Well, we’re glad that the two seem to be splitting on such amicable terms and we wish both of them the best.
