The only Black Republican candidate for president, Ben Carson, has announced that he intends to suspend his campaign. The suspension is just temporary as he focuses on more important matters, namely his upcoming book tour. That’s right, America. Promoting his new book, A More Perfect Union, is more important than running for president of the Union.

Carson’s office announced that he will not be travelling with his campaign staff for the book tour. This is undoubtedly an attempt to refute claims that he is using his status in the polls for book sales. But the only perception that can be derived is that he, in fact, is using his popularity for book sales.

Too some, it comes as a bit of a shock. After all, how can the Negro darling of the Republican Party be so callous in taking such an action amid police shootings, international wars, mass shootings and bashing Obama to basically pimp his followers? Could he be going “hood” with his side hustle? His “intellectual, safe negro, pimpology, running those bottom h–s in the conservative Republican Party” has worked for him. This past September, his campaign raised more than $20 million, a staggering amount among the Republican presidential candidates.
