The Nov. 4 episode of the new FOX crime drama “Rosewood” is expected to be one of the most thrilling yet.

In the series’ sixth episode, “Policies and Ponies,” actor Vondie Curtis Hall (“ER,” “Soul Food,” Coming to America and director of Toni Braxton’s biopic, Unbreak My Heart) stars as Beaumont Rosewood Sr., father to Miami pathologist Beaumont Rosewood (Morris Chestnut).

Additionally, Captain Ira Hornstock (Domenick Lombardozzi) becomes a key suspect in the murder of his third ex-wife. He relies on Rosewood and Detective Annalise Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) to prove his innocence, but the two must first get past their feud to solve the case.

On Oct. 16, “Rosewood” was picked up for a full 22-episode season. Airing ahead of the majorly popular musical drama “Empire” every Wednesday at 8 p.m., the show has been scoring a steady 7.3 million total viewers.
“’Rosewood’ has proven to be a real self-starter for us, which is a tremendous feat on this highly competitive night,” said Fox Entertainment President David Madden, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “The upcoming episodes are so compelling as we build out the family dynamics, and … we’re excited to explore the world of ‘Rosewood’ even further this season.”

The episode will air Nov. 4 on FOX, after the World Series.
