Season two of the hilarious ABC comedy “Black-ish” has been better than ever, with several celebrity guests and more gut-busting one-liners. On Oct. 28, the Halloween episode featured Michael Strahan as the Johnson family’s crazy cousin, Junebug.

Marcus Scribner, who plays the wise-cracking eldest son, Andre, tells us that the season is only warming up. Aside from the show, Scribner will also soon be starring in The Good Dinosaur, his first ever film role.

Scribner, who will be taking over the Black-ish Instagram account on the day of the Halloween episode’s airing, chatted with rolling out about his new film, his show, and more.

What can we expect from the rest of the season of “Black-ish?”

I think this season of “Black-ish” has even topped the first season. Our writers went all in with the subject matter [and] amazing stories. And most importantly, we have awesome guest stars that we get to goof around and make awesome episode with. We had Zendaya … she was a blast. We have a bunch of other guest stars coming up as well.

You work with a lot of great talents on the show. Which cast member do you enjoy working with the most?

We work with such great veteran actors on “Black-ish,” it’s hard to choose just one. I learn so much from Anthony (Anderson) every day … definitely learn a lot from Laurence (Fishburne), and a lot from Tracee (Ellis Ross) as well, and Jenifer (Lewis). I’m learning new things every day, from comedic timing, to when to adlib. We just get to have a great time onset.

You’re about to star in your first movie, The Good Dinosaur. Tell us a little about the film.

The Good Dinosaur is about a young Apatosaurus named Arlo. Arlo goes on a journey, and he really learns things about himself that he didn’t know when he first started. The movie is really about discovery and learning about friendship and family. I feel like what makes The Good Dinosaur extremely unique compared to other Pixar films is that it really focuses on the point of view of the child in the movie. Toy Story focuses on the toys, and The Incredibles focuses on Mr. Incredible, but in The Good Dinosaur, we focus on the point of view of the young one of the family — Arlo. I play his brother, Buck. [He’s] like a manly-man, I guess you could say (laughs). It was a great movie to film.

Tell us about your time at the Beaches Resorts in Turks & Caicos, volunteering with the Sandals Foundation.

I went to a small elementary school and we read to some of the kids, and it was amazing to see how loving and happy they were to see us. It was a cool experience.

Obviously, you’re a part of one of televisions hit shows, but there are a lot of others. What are some shows you enjoy watching?

I really love supernatural shows, like shows about zombies and stuff, so obviously I watch “The Walking Dead.” The way the story plays out is so dramatic and intense, and it’s a really enjoyable show with great acting. I also like this show, “Black-ish,” ever heard of that one? (laughs).

Yeah, I have!

I’m totally kidding. I like “Modern Family,” “Supernatural” … I have a variety of shows that I enjoy.

Watch “Black-ish” Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. on ABC.
