On the eve of Thanksgiving, Boosie BadAzz, formerly Lil Boosie, posted a picture on Instagram eating at a table and captioned it with the shocking message that he has been diagnosed with kidney cancer.
“I need all my fans to pray for me,” he wrote. “Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys.”
The 33-year old added that he’s “letting the world know to prayfaboosie,” so many saddened fans have begun using the hashtag #PrayFaBoosie, which has made the Louisiana rapper’s name go viral on Twitter.
The caption that revealed the devastating news has been deleted, although the picture remains on his Instagram page. According to TMZ, Boosie’s team was not happy with his decision to tell the public about his diagnosis, which led to the message being removed.
Boosie, who was just released from prison last year after serving 5 years for a drug charge, has also been living with diabetes for years.
