T.I. and Atlanta’s mayor, Kasim Reed, presented the 12th annual turkey giveaway for the holidays at the Adamsville Recreation Center in Atlanta.
The event also partnered with A Center for Hope and focused on giving turkeys and other food items to local Atlanta senior citizens as well as families who may not be able to provide a meal on their own. The rapper was joined by his family members and the mayor was joined by the first lady, Sarah Elizabeth Langford-Reed and daughter, who all assisted in giving back.
After arriving, both public figures were able to give a few words before handing out the items, T.I. stated, “Mayor Reed has been joining us for Thanksgiving as long as he’s been in office, we need someone who will be connecting to the community and who’s going to be involved. I think he’s done a great job with that and I’ve witnessed it with my own eyes.”
The event also featured a photo booth and other games for families to participate in while attending. It’s always great to see public figures using their platforms for the better and we can’t wait to see what more they have in store for the community.
