It seemed like Amiyah Scott was going to get her big Hollywood break earlier this year when reports revealed that she’d been filming scenes for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” However, Scott, like many other women who filmed for the show, reportedly didn’t make the cut for this season of “RHOA.” Well, they say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and that seems to be the case with Scott because although “RHOA” didn’t pick her, it looks like Lee Daniels did for a new show of his.

According to TMZ, Scott has been cast in a new “Empire” spin-off prequel that will focus on young Cookie Lyon.

Sources say that Scott hit Daniels’ radar after the world was buzzing about her filming for “RHOA.” The famous producer invited her to read for his new show and thought she’d be perfect to play a member of a girl group in the show.

Although Scott has never acted in a major TV role, sources say the novice is getting help from some top-notch Hollywood acting coaches to help her play the role well.

Well, this is a major step for Scott and she might be poised to become the next big transgender star to make waves in Hollywood.
