Jermaine Dupri hosted the Atlanta screening of Daddy’s Home with his daughters, Shaniah and Jalynn, on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in Atlanta. The movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell details the story of a newly appointed stepfather working to be a complete family with his new wife and her two children. All seems to be moving along beautifully until the ex-husband shows up and challenges the new stepfather to a testosterone-driven game of “who can be the best Dad.”

Dupri greeted the audience of tastemakers and spoke briefly about the importance of fatherhood. He was joined by his beautiful teenage daughter Shaniah and his adorable pre-school aged daughter. Several months ago Dupri introduced his youngest baby girl to fans on National Daughter’s Day via Instagram, after publicly learning the paternity test results from a former love interest in Atlanta.

The Daddy’s Home screening was one stop in a flurry of appearances Dupri has been making in an effort to promote his new television series, “The Rap Game.” Lifetime Network greenlit the collaborative effort between Dupri and Queen Latifah, which will air on New Year’s Day 2016.

The eight-episode series, follows five emerging pre-teen/teen artists, who will be hazed in the competitive Atlanta hip-hop scene in a quest to outperform one another to become the next big rap star. Dupri is famous for his track record of creating child stars after creating careers for Kriss Kross and Da Brat. His influence on Usher’s My Way album undeniably took the pop star to the next level in his early career.

On “The Rap Game,” Dupri will be joined every week by some of his former proteges, including Usher and Da Brat. Ludacris, T.I. and Silento are rumored to make appearances on “The Rap Game” to assist Dupri in molding the hopefuls into the next big rapper and to revive Dupri’s So So Def Recording label.
