For years, Sheree Whitfield has been dogged by rumors and reports that she’s, well, broke. And it certainly didn’t help that “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” cameras, as well as her cast mates, constantly pointed out that her mansion, aka Chateau Sheree, has yet to be completed since she started building it five years ago. But despite the rumors, Whitfield recently set the record straight on whether she’s living the lavish life or the poor life.
As fans of “RHOA” know, Whitfield left the show after four seasons, but recently made her return for season eight of the show. But despite her four-year hiatus, Whitfield found herself quickly swamped again in rumors that she’s broke after her cast mate, Kenya Moore, blasted her still unfinished Chateau Sheree.
However, Whitfield recently spoke with In Touch Weekly and admitted that she has had financial problems while trying to build her mansion.
“The whole world pretty much hit a crisis; I don’t think I was the only one who hit a financial wall,” Whitfield said.
However, she denied rumors that she’s no longer wealthy.
“But I’m still living the same lifestyle, fortunately,” she said. “I don’t spend recklessly. Trust me: If I’m buying X, Y and Z, I can afford it!”
But that’s not all that Whitfield discussed. See what else she had to say about her “RHOA” return, as well as her cast mates, after the cut.
